Hi, I’m Carla.
Founder and CEO of Sharkey Coaching. With over 15 years of hands-on leadership experience as head of Project Management, I’ve led diverse, global teams through change. This has given me deeper insights into the unique challenges leaders face in fast-moving, cross-functional, and dynamic environments.
Early in my leadership journey, I thought my job was to turn my team into copies of me—after all, isn’t that why I was promoted? Because I was so great at what I did! I was convinced that if my team simply followed my way of doing things, we’d be unstoppable.
But instead of creating a high-performing team, I overwhelmed them and felt frustrated myself. I had to elevate my leadership skills and recognize how my style impacted my team’s engagement and effectiveness.
I realized that success wasn’t just about driving results—it was about creating an environment where others could thrive and contribute at their best.
